I make one joke which i didnt even intend to be raceist and you completly turn it around. In case you havent noticed ive been farily quite and one little word is mentioned and boom im the devil. In case you havent noticed many racist comments have been made to me by r34_296kw refering to me as a convict and so on and they were like water off a ducks back! so what double standards are you talking about? the only thing i said in response was correcting him and letting him know my family were irish settlers leaving myself open to a heap of irish jokes.

Yes, i do havea a chip on my shoulder in this affair because every single day of my life in New Zealand i have an insult, no matter how jokingly it was intended, thrown my way. I deal with it, i do not hate New Zealanders, i just try to understand them.

It's not what you intend it to be, it's how it's interpreted. I don't care who-started-what, but in reality i would have thought you would have been the bigger person and stopped it.

i think we are in agreeance that this sort of behaviour should be stopped, however I think the only way to stop is for yourself to be the bigger person. If they want to make a racist arse of themselves, let them. It would be more advantaeous not to weigh in on the argument.

And for the record, i am sorry for any offence caused. you were just used as an example, i know you were not the only one, and you have been pretty good in this situation.

Well ive had an hours break a smoke and have half made a patch for my car (which fell between the fire wall and i decided leaving it instead of cursing and swearing at it ill see what my old man can do about getting it out) and i must also apologise for any offence caused to you by any of the comments made and i am more then happy to accept your apolgy also. I was a bit peeved when your comment came out and singled me out thats why a i let out that poorly construced speech (ask megotmea when im stressed i dont think i act)
Ok i willbe a bigger person and stop childish cracks but one of the things that annoys me is i persoanlly think that r34 could actually be a valuble member of these forums if he chose to be at one stage i was actually talking to him(well as good as youcan get in here) and driving japenese imports is somthing i seldom had the pleasure of doing and somthing he knows somthing about.

well 2 tell u da truth i actually enjoyed it a lot talking to you lot nicely and then i decided to be nice...and then this canadian bastard comes and totally pisses me off, i say a good comment and then he comes out lashing at me that lil son of a bitch so i decided it'd be better if i dont talk 2 yous nicely so at least i dont get mocked and lashed out at.....its better when i say sumfin bad n u reply rather than i say sumfin nice n u reply badly, very badly.

I've taken 4 years of courses in practical reasoning and philosophy. In my opinion, one of the single greatest virtues a person can have is to admit their faults, and I'm the last one who wants to be a hypocrite. Being blindly stubborn is what gets to me with people.

I'm not trying to make you "give in" or to "lash out" at you to hurt you. I'm trying to dig deeper into what you're talking about. If you put the racism comments and all the frustratingly-typed nonsense aside, this thread actually has some decent substance. The distinction needs to be made between war and debate. This is not a war.

Everything aside, I know you're a huge car nut, and that you can make some intelligent conversation. I've seen it. Hell, that's the whole reason we all came to this damned forum
