aight, i guess most of us arent in the position to buy a skyline or a supra since they cost (over here) like at least 25.000$, so im thinking of a 1993 celica 2.0GTi or some like that. what shoeld be the smartest thingies to tune it up and bringing it closer and closer to a 10 second car. and then i dont mean an installation of 15.000$ or shit like that. just a start-off like about 1500-2000$ and in the future offcourse more tune ups. ow, another thing is i would like the car to be reliable
since its my only 1. (its an example so it isnt meant for celica only just a cool looking car @ that expense since that is makeble for most peaple, like me a just outta school kid making like 1200$ a month).

sry to burst ur bubble, but its gonna b basically imposible to make a celica into a 10 second car. but to make it faster, and for cheap, i wud suggest a new intake, exaust, and a new nitrous cost. also new performance wheels and a new clutch wud b nice.

getting a car with a turbo from the factory is a big help, you've already got your power adder and the engine is made to be boosted.

No, the mark 3 is not a great idea. A celica turbo is an OK choice though. In ZOOM magazine there was an article called '200 sx + $1500 = power', which gave some terrific tuning tips for turbo engines. I think they boosted power by about 47% for their money.
The only mods they did were to get a full 3 inch exhaust, improved air intake and fitted a boost bleed valve to increase pressure to around 12 psi (very safe limit). They did recommend that the owner eventually install a better intercooler and chip, for the sake of reliability (and a bit more power). Believe me though, you don't want a 10 sec car, as they are often useless in most cases on the street. |

tnx for the reply i didnt mean to get a ten second car though. i more meant a car that's powered up all the way, thus not only PK advantage @ 1 amount of rpm, but a total tune up.
i kind of like the idea of the intake & tune up the turbo way. tnx. please reply more. |

intake
New intake would do nothing for this car. Thats such a waste of time and money.
