Rock from the late 60s early 70s.
Black Sabbath
Jimi Hendrix
Led Zeppelin
Deep Purple
Grand Funk Railroad...

Those are some the bands I really like, even though I listen to a lot more bands.

You sound like an old fart like me. How about Triumph, Rush, Scorpions, UFO and my favorite Blue Oyster Cult.

Theres no accounting for taste. Thats why im amused/annoyed when anyone says "this is shit or thats not real music". Who wrote the book? Parents have been telling their kids since Elvis that their music will not be around in 10 years time. Even the much maligned (at the time) 80s music has its classics. Rap and the like will also be represented in future years. Everything has its relevance. Not that I particularly like it all though.

If you like BOC there is a DVD of a concert that they performed in 2000 which shows the old boys still doing their stuff. I think its called long days night. Only Alan Lanier, Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma remain but they are the engine room anyway.

Well your right about all music having its followers the only real type of music i dont like is rap the rest of it i dont mind too much like im litening to dave dobbyn-slice of heaven and as my winamp ticks over im now listening to feva for the flavor by hot action cop. I just like music in general mostly heavy metal, rock and the beer albums.
And thanks for the BOC info as well. Its funny my parents make the same claim about liking most music in general they really dont like all the metal and rock i listen to from their era funny that.
