My Dad had an '85, I believe it was a 16v. He always says it was never what he'd call a fast car, but that there was some x-factor that made it really fun to drive anyway.

As found randomly parked in a corner of the VW Museum Wolfsburg. No sign or information present. It might be some special version or chassis number..

edit:

Picture of a one-off concept added. The Scirocco TR was built in 1982 and had a removable roof. Under the bonnet is a 4-cylinder inline engine with a displacement of 1588 cc, providing 110 HP. Top speed was 190 km/h.
