Press Creds for car shows?

One of my friend's dad works for a newspaper in the city which probably gets press creds for the big car shows. if i asked him is it something he could hook me up with? do they get many creds to the point that this photographer could hook me up with some? how do these things work? maybe wouter or someone can tell me. anyone?

if he works for a newspaper, he probably wud have his name and all written on the card. plus, not that i kno how old u are and all, but do u look old enuf to be able to pas as a newspaper fotografer? if they ask u for id there, u cud get into a bit of trouble. if ure in a college or uni that has its own newspaper, see if they can provide u with a pass...i can get one from ma uni, but there arent too many car shows here..
