Anyone know this?

I was reading GT: Purely Porsche and it had an article on the 924 cup cars, and they had 143hp and 156 ft-lbs and it said they weigh 1000kg and do
0-60 in 4.5 and go 188MPH, not kph, mph, i still cant figure how this is possible even with the light weight, anyone got any ideas?

Thinking of this one?

There's definitely something wrong with those figures.

The "standard" 924 GT Turbo was quite a fast machine and is curently being much sought after. Whether a car with 143 bhp would do 188 mph is highly questionable, but the LeMans version with way over 300 bhp would possibly be able to reach such speeds with the right gearing.

yeh its a big ask of such a car... modern supercars are just starting to break that 300kph barrier...

188 mph with 143 hp? highly unlikely

no it mentioned "143hp and 156ftlb, 188mph" several times, its very wierd

and they had an article on these two tuned GT2's, and one had 600hp and lost weight, but the acceleration and top speed was slower than factory, despite the added 120hp...yet the other gt2 (585hp) was faster than factory while being heavier

i think it was just a lapse of editting in this month's GT
