ContiSportContact 2s are supposed to be good.
Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pirelli PZero Corsa Toyo Proxes seem popular with TVR, as are Goodyear F1s

I got Continental ContiExtreme Contacts for $114 each. Nice meats. They grip hard and are unflappable in the rain + inclement surfaces, yet even the small profile 245/45's ride softer than the 215/60's i had before!

If it comes down to cost, we could go with a set of Kumho Ecsta MX tires, but I think we should be okay.
I wonder if Matra would like to help drakkie do the tires? |

Need to get drivetrain, weight, balance and suspension sorted before we go picking tyres or we risk screwing up what might be reasonable handling
![]() We might want a tyre that release adhesion gently rather than all at once. The latter is good for getting nice numbers on meaningless road test but are lethal in the real world ![]() Also we can't "afford" to have a manufacturer make us a custome tyre, so we need all the info to chose the best size and THEN look for the best grip/wear and THEN pick a supplier ( kind of how it works for most of us ). BUT we can decide if we offer a compromise all-year-round tyre or promote the 'supercar handling' as focussed and provide 2 or 3 tyre options and supply at additional cost. So a fast road option and a rod/track optin and a pure track ( assuming we don't want any 20,000mile Micheline crud )
