If you go 50-100hp on a stock engine its alright,if you go a bigger shot 150,200 etc thats when internal bottom end engine damage may occur, all depends on the strength of the stock engine.

Personally I dislike it because it's a damn ricey "mod", even though it's the cheapest way to add some speed if you really want it, and its use is cartainly not limited to ricers. However, the accelerated wear and added stress is a problem, so you don't want to overdo it of you do put it on.

Unless you want to replace the top end of your engine every time you use Nitrous, you should get bigger fuel injectors and a fuel management to make your engine run rich.

I orignially wrote it for another forum, where ignorant little fools ran around spewing crap like: "NOS KILLS UR ENJINE!! USE IT ONLY IF UR RACING 4 PINK SLIPSS!!!!". But apparently, nobody here cares about really learning about what nitrous does. I wrote it because it sums everything there is to know about nitrous up into one post. It's a helpful resource. Is that enough reason for you? Oh well, if you really wanted to learn about nitrous, you would figure it out on your own. So why are we here at a car forum, then?

should it be a colon? "God is not here today: Priest" just doesn't quite look right, but neither does the comma, either. Maybe I'll just change it to another quote from 'The Exorcist"

its emiting water and carbondioxide u crackhead, its essentially a bigger engine, emmissions laws deals with HARMFUL gasses like carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide, adding nitrous doesnt do anything but increase oxygen content, the amount of harmful gasses is determined by the ecu and sensors

your lil essay didnt include anything i didnt already know and you said yourself that a nitrous system is only damaging if its incorrectly set up, plus it wouldnt be hard to wire the nitrous injection to the ecu so that everytime you press that lil button the ecu will inject more fuel to compensate, or check if the boost in torque and power is within preset limits, even a novice programmer and physicist like me can program something like that im pretty sure the guys who've been in the industry for years can too

If all you want to do is get me pissed off, then, not only will you succeed at it, but I won't do anything about it. You seem to think that getting people pissed off is a privilage, a power handed to you. Try throwing an open soda at someone on the street. Guess what? You've gotten the privialge of pissing them off! Wasn't that fun? Now watch you get your ass beaten. Oh wait! I can't get to you from across the net. Is that what this is all about? Some inferiority complex you've got going? God, I just don't want to have to put up with you.....Unless you're just being sarcastic, in which case, I owe you an apology.

More oxygen, more burn, more carbon-dioxide, more emissions. Why do you think that nitrous is illegal to use? Because it puts out too much power? No, I know of a 7 second steet-legal car. It's emissions, not power.

You'll have to excuse me, I mis-read your previous post.

That's my hope.

dude that's so stupid, then by ur logic they'd outlaw 8 litre engines or anything with a turbo or supercharger and we'll all run round with 1.5 litre vitzs or echos

all engines emit carbondioxide its just a fact, hell chainsaw and snow blower motors emit more CO2 in a half hour of use then driving 400km on a normal car
hell YOU emit carbon dioxide you dont see the government trying to limit the amount of breaths u take

actually, most people wont do anything, if you have been beaten up it most likely cause you arent very big, or you're dull witted, or both
