mk1 Escort with 2Lsierra engine HELP!
Hello,
I'm in a bit of crap here i bought a 1974 Ford escort and its got a 2L sierra engine ( i think ) i have a photo of the engine but i dunno how to stick it on this post anyways ummm......its got a 4spd and it came with 2 drive shafts which where to small not in size but the spline that goes over the gearbox spline ( sorry i dont know what its really called) but yeah its to small the spline on the driveshaft to go over the gearbox spline etc.. its a escort drive shaft but what i really wanna ask is CAN you put a sierra spline onto the escort driveshaft ? this is hard to explain hopefully you get me if not i'll find out the names of the bits and try to discribe it again anyways any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks p.s. i think i worked out how to stick a picture on hopefully some one can tell me what engine this is thanks! ( its been bored to 2.2 with forged pistons ) |

that isn't a sierra engine it is a 2ltr pinto. the easiest thing to do is to get a drive shaft out of another 2ltr escort and use that, that way you will get the right spline
