Engine conversion
Engine ConversionHi i have a mk2 escort 1.3L i want to do a engine conversion but i dont have much money i want some thing i can do my self for as cheap as poss plz help

Any scrap yard in the UK will have lots of 1600 Ford block engines that will drop straight in the car. But, you could tune up the 1300 and get 110bhp for a few hundred quid. Or get a 2liter Pinto engine and 5-speed box. Another common fit and plenty of advice/support from Ford car clubs all over the country. So give us a bit more info and we can hlpe more ![]() |
