Ba XR6 auto shifter into AU

Ok, who knows anything about sticking the BA auto shifter into an AU? I can figure the mounting etc out, What I want to know about is the electronics and how the sports shift works via the transmissions ECU. Does the AU's ECU have the ability to work with the sequential select or do I need to get the BA one. And if so, will the BA ECU wire up to my AU trans?
