Inside a Working Engine

I would post this in the video thread, but it's really cool, so it kinda deserves its own thread.

It's the inside of an engine while it's working.

It's a good video for those who don't know how an engine works.

Just a note it skips the exhaust stroke of the piston.

I think it includes it though?

When the valve on the left opens that's the exhaust stroke, I think at least.

The exhaust valve just opens in the video. It doesn't show the piston coming up which pushes the exhaust out.

Intake(down) compression(up) power(down) exhaust(up)

Perhaps, its not the inside of an actual engine. Maybe its Hollywood magic.

Yeah, maybe they just slowed down the RPM's a lot and just cut a small hole into the side of an engine block to film it. Still, it's very interesting, at least to me.

They most likely drilled a hole into the combustion chamber through the head, not the block(since you wouldn't be able to see the combustion chamber).

It seems to be a high speed camera.
