Car Ideas

My friend will be geting his first car next year. He will have around 18k (lucky bastard!) on account of a good job and nice ass parents. He would like sumthing kinda of sporty but probably wouldnt want to work on it too much. Any suggestions?

A well equipped scion tC would fit that price quite well.

Sumthing quazi- sporty, cant be convertable. has to do well in the snow, , 18 - 20k price range, 2door, back seat doesnt matter, and suggestions would be great., btw none of these are set in stone, thats just to give you an idea.

Hmm, I wouldn't recommend spending all his money on his first car which he will more than likely crash. But, I do recommend a Ford Focus... they retail for what, 16k?
Edit: just checked out ford.com and a top of the line focus runs you about 18k plus taxes and insurance and sh1te so I'd recommend the focus hatch 5-spd man w/out all the options.

I go with a Used car. Get more bang for your buck. Here are a couple of suggestions:

3000 GT TT or Dodge Stealth TT (good all weather driving)

WRX STI (good all weather driving)

RX7

Corvette C5 (probably the best bang for your buck)

Mustang Cobra or GT

I can vouch for the Stealth R/T TT/3000 GT VR-4... I've got a Stealth R/T TT with AWD and it gets around better in the snow than my Nissan Pathfinder...

Scion tC is a good choice, maybe a two or three year old Mini Cooper. Lets see maybe an older Impreza/WRX, I am not sure what those run for however.

well, my Stealth is a reliability nightmare... but it's not becuase of the engine... it's becuase the person/people that owned it before me wailed on it... I have several friends with turbo cars and they don't seem to be any less reliable than a non-turbo car...
