whiteballz: new car?

alright, a while ago there was a scare of whiteballz (me-duh) getting an HE holden as a first car.

Now a few months down the track without this horrid far ^^, im on the prowl seriously for a good car, ive got the Automotive trading post open on my lap and these are the cars ive circled to have a think about.
(in no order)

#1 Austin 1800: "1966 restored, one family owner, 11 mths rego, |AAA-974| (number plate)

#2 Dihatsu charade Cs (im not so keen on this) 5 sp man, EFI, Extractors, 2 1/4 sports exhaust, full body kit, 17 INCH CHROMIES sports steer, alarm/central locking, 15 inch sub-woofer w/ CD player. $5500 |wkd-20y|

#3 Mazda 1300 2 door. 1975, one owner (i doubt it) only 96000kms new 2pak canary yellow paint, perfect black trim, whitewall tyres, immac condition, "very rare" $3999 |ojh-628|

#4 Toyota corolla coupe 1975, RWD 1.2L 4 speed manual trans, 10 month rego, 2nd owner 120000kms, rare model, lovely to drive, very good condition |hfw-742| $2500

#5 '88 honda prelude coupe, 5sp, p/steer, p/windows. cruse control, p/mirrors, alloys, sunroof, radio/cassette, 1mnth rego, |oxy-344|

#6 87 toyota celica, manual, hatch, air, p/steer, p/windows, c/locking, EFi, sunroof, twin cam. |ari-77g|$2999

Thou shalt not buy a riced Daihatsu
Thou shalt not buy a Mazda with whitewalls unless thou art Japanese and have no taste
Thou shalt not buy a 1.2 litre sports car unless it's very small, has a bike engine or is a rotary

they are all pretty expensive.... i don’t think they are worth it, i have been looking for a car too and i found that you can get a Seat Ibiza (1995) GTi for 5k and Astra F (1997) GSi for about 6-7k....

I think you should go with the '66 Austin. Its a beautiful classic car in my opinion and if you upgrade the engine and drivetrain it'll be even better.

Those old Preludes are nice, and a Mazda 1300 with whitewalls can have the tyres replaced, if that is wished.

Personally Id go for the Celica but the Austin looks tempting. The Austin is definatley the more unique of the few and possibly the car with the most potential. I wouldnt touch #2,#3 or #4 with a bargepole.

I'd get the old Corolla or the Celica, 2 1/4inch sounds too big for a Charade so it'd probably have even less power than stock
