Fatten things up?

Im talkin widebody kits here, I saw this car ( http://www.jracing.com.au/gallery.php?galID=20 )
in locale and i think its pretty alright, not many (if any) others like it around and would possibly consider it for my own 200SX ( i at least want the strawberry face if not the whole kit)

What do you guys reckon? Am i a closet ricer coming out or is it a bit of alright.

I like it Bluey. It's sporty looking to me, not rice. Well, as long as you don't add a 7 foot rear wing

I don't like how they've tacked on an S15 front end to the S14. Apart from that, I don't really have anything against it except that it's not exactly my style.

Widebody cars are hot. That one, however, looks like it was drawn by a 3 year old. Go for something that doesn't change the lines of the car, but just accentuates them.

I've highlighted the areas of the kit that I really don't like. Starting with the front, I don't like where the fender meets the headlight. There's a sharp dip to make it meet up with the headlight cover. It looks dented. The front lip looks like an afterthought. Whoever drew it up decided it needed 'something else' and just tacked this on to it.

From the rear shot, it just doesn't flow. The lines of the kit look tacked on. What's with the gap between the stock front fender and the kit fender? Does that serve a real purpose? Cause it sure doesn't look good. The gas cap is almost always forgotten by these kit companies. Either incorporate it into the design, or cut the body kit low enough that it doesn't interfere. But as is, it looks like there's a piece missing. And at the rear of the kit, it just ends. Nice widebodies phase out at the ends and are then molded into the stock panels. Again, it looks like an afterthought and ruins the original flow of the car.

The sideskirts and rear lip I don't mind.

You have removed many parts of bodykit but IMO I agree with you that the bodykit would look better without them. I think you should go for it, it looks nice, not ricey at all

If the kit was toned-down 35% then it'd be nice. Maybe even 50%.

You are only a ricer if you expect that to give you an extra 50hp.
