A friend of mine used to have a Touareg R5 TDI (he now has a Cayman S). It's not the fastest car in the world, but it's engine makes quite nice noise bearing in mind it's a diesel. It has the classic inline five sound. However I still think the 2.7-litre V6 diesel is ahead.

Yeah, it was fairly noisy. But I liked the sound of the 2.5TDI...
We were going to get a 2.7TDI A6 but I have no idea why we didn't, parent's loved it, we didn't get the Discovery TDV6 because of my sodding Mum, we didn't get the Touareg because it was being facelifted, we didn't get the Volvo XC90 D5 because, well, I don't know why...
We didn't get an A4 Avant 3.2FSI S-Line because I couldn't get in the back, didn't get a 2004 Audi S8 because it was too thirsty and didn't get a used Cayenne S because it was still to expensive, as was the standard Cayenne

I just measured, I come in at 193cm
