UCP Car Audio

I just got this idea because of the confusion in Exige's thread.

Does anyone have aftermarket audio systems in their cars? What are they?

Mine:
Pioneer DEH-P4800MP (Deck)
Infinity Reference 6012si 6.5" speakers (Doors)
Pioneer TS-A6880R 6"x8" speakers (Rear)
Harman Kardon Drive + Play

I'm looking into putting in a Infinity BassLink powered sub, anyone have any experience with them?

jake, what kind of amp do you have running the sub? Must be pretty beast if you need 2 capacitors.

I've got a Pioneer DEH-P70BT
And JBL speakers all around (the speakers were already there. I got that radio because it functions as a handsfree bluetooth set for my phone as well and because it supports the Pioneer iPod interface that I have as well.

there's really no way to wire your sub to the head unit directly, and I don't think it's been emphasized enough that a simple head unit won't be able to power it, anyway. It's a complete waste of time.

personally i like it in the golf. i bet it shakes the shit out of that cover on the back. lol fosgate is a good company. Did you get the level 2 sub?

Ok sweeney, you wire the sub to the wires running off the head unit. I have a amp anyway chill. I'm installing everything this week hopefully. Wiring kit and wire is a decient check but ive got the cash.

Anyways. I hooked my MTX up to my brothers MTX amp that he has in his tacoma x-runner. He has a 10" Xtant sub. Hits amazing, only 250 watts too. But my sub sounded good. Once i get it all in ill take some pics. Ill pic the head unit, sub, and such.
