Good...or bad?

I was searching for headlights for my blazer today. Came over something very easy but kinda difficult at the same time. Someone on the web had taken out their headlights and spray painted the inside black. Like a couple layers of black with a clear coat. I figured this would be a great idea, but was wanting some other opinions. So would this be worth my time and get a nice look. Or totally out of the question? I'm getting black tail lights so i think it will complete the look. Thanks

If the 'look' is more important than the 'see' then why not spray the inside of your windscreen with black paint to compliment those headlights

If your thinking of painting the reflectors black, forget it; you'll have no headlights and chances are fail any registration/roadworthiness test you undergo.

If your thinking of blacking out the covers, forget it; see above reasons.

if your thinking of frosting your taillight covers, make sure it's legal before you do anything.

Depending on how your reflectors sit in the housing, you may be able to do it. Just don't paint the actual reflector.

I might just work out great, if you are planning to drive during daylight only... , and even then I guess your local police will have a nice long chat with you; chances are you will get a nice ticket to show us.

It looks very good. Not at all ricer, Rocky.

Vauxhall Vectra LS... with no headlamp insert:

Vauxhall Vectra SRi... with a black headlamp insert:

Much classier . It's completely legal here in the UK, but I don't know about the laws you have over there. The Dodge Viper GTS used them, and that was legal...

The Vectra does look pretty sharp with this little enhancement. I don't think the older Blazer has such a headlight assembly, though. It's either a sealed beam or a reflector body with halogen insert type of arrangement.

I would not get them. As far as I understand, 94 blazers have sealed beams, and painting anything in a sealed beam would be a negitive thing. Sealed beams dont have any of that extra chrome space between the lights and reflectors, therefore nothing in there can really be done up.

If your blazer doesnt have a sealed beam (well even if it does) post a pic of what you found anyway.

ok so ive scratched the idea. out of personal opinion. I'm going to get money and buy wheels and black taillights and thats it. I just got my pioneer head unit put in. VERY NICE!!! ill post pics of the truck. It was a toyota x-runner on a forum page my brother is on. He has a black x-runner and was thinking about it. But its too time consuming. I'll search for the pic though. Oh and yes they are sealed beam headlights. Which meens, i can't even install my "blue" bulbs.

Blue lights are illegal over here, I would ask someone in the know about the law in your state before putting blue bulbs in.

yeah they are legal. i think as long as they arent like "too" blue its legal. But i'm sure there is some law agianst having too much color. But i figure as long as i stay away from the dick head cop that lives in a town close to me.....i should be good.

About the sealed beams, i have a friend who has a 94 jeep. He bought new sealed beams from advance auto that have blue lights. they are like $15 a piece. of course im going to look to make sure.

I'm hooking up my sub tomorrow. My pioneer head unit is in and my door speakers have been replaced. I'll try to get some pics if i can.

I'm going to post mudding/offroading/atving pics next week hopefully if anyone is interested. Me and some buddies are making a 4-Wheel video too. Its spring break next week, and we live in indiana. what do you expect.

Those blue lights shit me off, especially on roads that aren't smooth. I always think there's a cop behind me
