New addition to the family

Ok, so it's not an Audi...shoot me
It's a Toyota Hilux TwinCab VX with a 2.5 tdi D4D engine. 18 months old, done 20k miles. There's some noise from the engine obviously but not as much as I thought there would be. Good mid-range torque, works well to pull the large body. My only qualm so far...the steering wheel rim's slightly thin

And before everybody has a go at me for buying a 4x4 in the UK, we're taking it over to Pakistan this summer and driving it where it should be driven...in the mountains

EDIT: Just noticed I typed it was a CX above, it's actually a VX.

I also 'nogged the S2 while I was at it.
You can see the red V6 in the 3rd image in the first post but I couldn't be bothered to move it out and about nor go over and 'nogg it *shrugs*. You'll get that later when I can be bothered because it was colder than I thought it would be outside.

How are you getting it to pakistan driving???

And if your getting it transported how much is that can be cheap.

Amazing idea though would love to go for that kind of driving holiday, but i would have gone for the L200 twin cabin with the big shell at the back.

Unfortunately I won't be driving it over, it's being flown over . Would love to go on a driving holiday but won't be happening yet. We've got family over there so we're going to be leaving it there when we come back so we've got a good 4x4 whenever we go back.
We took a C220 over 2 years ago, but not that's not really the best vehicle for those roads nor for off roading

Got the same sort of car, except the wagon version Surf ssr-g with the 3.4V6, great car, havent taken mine off road yet properly, just a few little hills etc. Planning on a trip in June 2007 from Adelaide in the south of Australia to Darwin in the north of Australia, just over3000km, cant wait .4wd certainly opens up the driving possibilities.

Perfect machine for road-less ventures. Just put on some knobbier rubber, these look best suited for road use.

The L200 wasn't considered due to this being the ultimate off road survivor. Indestructible Hilux!
True the long stretches of road over there are now better than most UK roads but we don't live near a huge city, more in a village with proper off roading conditions.
