My New Day Car

Sadly, nowhere near as nice as McReis' - but a large step up from my battered Citroen. No EggNogg yet as I'm collecting it this evening. I never got around to EggNogging the Citroen - thank God! Nothing to link me to that heap of a car!

Does McReis set a standard now, with a 15 year old car?
Who needs more than that Rover for daily trips when at home, awaiting, are 2great classic jewels?
From my point of view, that was one of the most inspired designs from Rover in the last 15 years. It doesn't accelerate your heartbeat, but it's well proportioned, classy and solid looking.
Is it a diesel?

Oh, you did, you did! This one's nearly as clean too. That's why I bought it.
No, it's the petrol 1850i Honda Accord engine they were using at the time. Good unit, that. Very reliable (he says, touching lots of wood!!)

Hey Matra, it's a Honda Accord with a different coat on ... honest!

Didn't know they came with PC and internet on board.
The british obsession with wood... Even the japs caught it at some point.

You can't beat a bit of wood panelling... a 'bit' being the operative word, in this case...

Very nice. Bit too expensive for me to run, mind you...

Just picked the Rover up. So nice to have a decent car again! With comfy seats, a radio that works, an engine that pulls, all these things most people take for granted!!

Nope. Sorry. Went for the best deal, not the quickest engine...
