I have a new car. It's a 1996 Volvo 850 R manual. Picked it up for A$12K, which is a steal. It's going to our local Volvo guy on wednesday for a check over, but it has a full service history and appears to be in fantastic condition.

nice car...
but don't believe the city mpg  otherwise it says that the country of origin of the car is Belgium, which I find strange given the fact that the car is RHD....(could it be a British car, shipped from Antwerp?)

Theres an Ad for one of these in Canberra. 191,000 Km, Similar age, $4,900.

The Details are a little sketchy, but it is at a reasonably reputable dealer. I'd be interested to see the vehicle and its history. it might just be a bargain. EDIT; It's not Immaculate - "Needs a little work". dealer talk for "it's stuffed". could be a good project car for someone with the funds for it

Surely buying this and fixing the engine may cost less than your immaculate one
and at least you'd know what was done It's a cool car, i'm gonna check out the dealership tomorrow, but not to look specifically at that car. most likely because I cannot afford to fix anything at the moment.
