So it's just like the Mazda BG 323 or BF 323 or Audi C6 A6 or B7 A4?

I personally prefer the dark wheels on the black RX-7. Thing is HOT!

Yes, and R32, R33, R34, R35 Skylines, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6 Corvettes... I'm quite sure all the car models on Earth have a generation code...

yes, as the price hit $90k AUD in the mid 90's they did not sell well initially here either, but private imports and the improved economy saw a massive increase in their popularity as the 90's ended
it goes even more specific with each generation having a specific 'series', i.e. an FD series 6 RX7, series 7, series 8

take off your blindfold and look at these pics properly:

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...-fd-rx7_11.jpg

then realise volk wheels are consistently lighter than BBS wheels.

I checked them... multi-spoke wheels > 5-spoke wheels.

Glad I managed to suprise you

If anyone likes I can post pictures of my truck, it has > 265 hp, DOHC, and a six-speed

Please believe me, I didn't buy a truck because I enjoy driving them or think they're cool. I need it for work.

Just to put things in perspective, what does a new civic cost in AU.

I like the clean look of the volks, but I don't like the finish on either of your choices. The 2nd set are absolutely horrid. Black wheels with the chrome trim are even more tacky than urban camouflage as a fashion accessory. IMO.

no idea. civic type R is ~$40k AUD right now iirc
edit: i just realised the price spike may have been due to the RX-7 SP. which is a lot more justifiable
my wheels are black with chrome lip. back when it was cool.

And I like Volk wheels.
Screw those and go Work Meister!

Speaking of Volk Racing, Tire Rack's got a sale going on regarding the TE37.

Cough, Cough, excuse me I was just choking on my foot. Nothing could ever look tacky on your Porsche . They are too popular where I live, to the point where the hordes of chargers, mustangs, and even trucks equipped with less inspiring designs (still chrome lip) have made me bias.

RX7s aren't quite so expensive here in the US. To keep in line with our Honda price scale, a new RX7 cost (in the 90s) a little more than a well equipped Accord V6 today. I picked up mine for roughly 1/3 of that.

i know what you mean, there are some designs that still look good but usually in conjunction with unusual colours.
heh, my car is a true product of the tacky 70's and this shows

it's the same here, especially early series FD's are quite affordable, certainly in line with a GTR of some model, but genuine spirit R's and bathurst models still sell for a significant premium. On top of that, a genuine SP will still cost you $65k today (i'd give my left nut for one).

Turbo.Jenkens, I heard from Road and Track you're supposed to put fuel additive after every fillup.

So... is that true? They got that from some major tuning shop.
