Our Hayabusa Powered Deman Motorsport SR7

Here's some pics of our Deman Motorsport SR7.
It's a Seven Clone "Kit Car" that we (my 2 boys and I) built.
170 HP, 6 speed sequential transmission, fully independant suspension, 1012 lbs!
Needless to say she's an absolute rocket ... 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds!

gotta be scary as hell to drive! the engine is sick! why such a big battery and the fluid container looks like a gym drink bottle!

The car is an absolute rocket but it is also remarkably responsive.
The vehicle is built on a very light welded box tube space frame and I have to say that I feel very confident driving it.
One however can not call the ride particularly comfortable ... crampt cockpit, lots of engine and drive train noise. But who cares! That's not what a se7en is about! ... It's all about the twisties!
You're right about the big battery!
Hayabusa bikes go extremely fast ... but only in a forward direction (no reverse). At the time the photo was taken I was "scheming and plotting" an electric reverser...so I needed a big battery.
I have now bought a Quaife Reversing Gearbox and will soon be ditching the fat battery.
The drink bottle is actually the reservoir for the windshield washers (DOT requirement).

Having had a ride in a Yamaha R1 engined seven replica I have to say those things are "beep" fast. I doubt I'll ever be in something which can match the acceleration of it.

The kit was quite complete!
With taxes and delivery it came in at just under $30,000 (Canadian eh!).
I probably spent about $5,000 to $7,000 on various upgrades.

I haven't ridden in Dan's car but a fellow Busa Deman SR7 owner who has been a passenger has told me that it's the most terrifying ride he's EVER had!

Amazing car. I'm very envious. I'd love to hear specifics of your drivetrain.

Just stunning... do you drive it on the roads or use it for some club or another racing?
