Wow, that's an awesome car!

Nothing like your own car, no matter how old it is!

No idea, although I thought that for cars over 25 years old its cheaper, not sure though.

That's excellent!

Always remember that with cars condition is critical - it's better to have an older car in showroom condition than a newer, more sporty car (for example) that's been abused before your custody of it.

I got a 2000 model with 147,000km and i was very happy with that..

Your new car has 141,000km and it's over 20 years old!! Man that's a rippa.
All the best with the SigMarrrrr Go the Toyota SC12 Supercharger - eBay Other Performance Parts, Performance Parts, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 30-Mar-08 12:55:31 AEST)

You would be surprised how easy they are to fit, And they make some decant power have seen these fitted to Falcons and Commodores, With lower boost they are quieter.

A lot of older cars are more reliable than newer cars too

Too right!

Will: I wouldn't think about modifying your car straight away, you may decide you want to save the money for a better car once you've got some driving experience. I did that - I could have modded the Corsa (tasteful stuff), but instead decided to get a car more worthy of large outgoings first.

If however the car really is a supreme example of it's type, go for it (when it's reasonable to do so)!

EDIT: After looking at the pics again, it does appear to be in fantastic condition and has a kind-of retro charm and charisma (not "Carisma" - that car NEVER had any!).

I'm thinking a cold air filter right now and a better exhaust but thats it for a while. Really not interested in alot of power for when I'm just learning to drive. Mod's aren't really too high on the priority list as cash is limited!

Think it was yeah. Flashy seat material and electric windows, not to mention a tape and radio stereo! Central locking too.
