New C5 Twin Turbo

Today I collected the replacement of the C5 that has been used for the past 2.5 years as UCP's long distance traveler. I changed it for what is basically the same car, with a nose job, but importantly under the bonnet the single turbo 2.2 HDiFAP received a little helper in June 2006, which increased power by more than 35 BHP to somewhat over 170 BHP. I'll keep it that way for another year to keep the warranty alive. Next step could be an additional 30 BHP.
Max torque comes in at 1500 RPM, and there is a manual 6-speed gear box.

The car has done only 22000 kms so far, (It is an ex-company car from Citroen Germany, specially imported.)
It comes in the Executive version having all the comfort goodies are there, leather, electrically adjustable heated seats, etc.
The colour is not black, but a very dark metallic grey (Gris Fulminator).

i have added a link to a british test of the car (by for me unknown people) to give you an impression of what they think are the strong points of the car.

Citroen C5 2.2 HDi 170 Range : TORQUE SOFTLY - Yahoo! Cars UK

Of course they mention massive depreciation, but maybe the story about my old car is quite nice in this respect. I paid 36% of its new price (as a four year old car), and I have received almost 20% as a trade in, after 2.5 years and 105000 km....not bad I would say.
What I paid now is about 75% of the new price, for a one year old car.

I have taken some shots of the car in the showroom, no chance for outside pictures today as it was a grey day, with continuous drizzle..

It's a diesel .... oodles of torque
The twin turbo i sdeplyed to avoid the "surge" that the previous gen turbo diesels would suffer from.
THe engines shared with Ford.

very close to what the "link" was saying.
there is hardly any turbo lag anymore, and compared to the previous car they upgraded the suspension once more, which makes it the king of speedbump....

Really nice car!, Congrats!.
Good engine, hope it's the new 6 Speed PSA gearbox!, because that one is good!.
The cool thing is that it's the same engine as WR is working on using in there car next year! (exept they use 2 and is making a 8 cylindered).

thank you, that is interesting, is WR trying to put together a 4.4 liter V8 or will they use the two liter version? Apparently the 2.7 V6/3.6 V8 is not strong enough to further develop into an LMP2 engine.
And yes it is the latest 6 speeder. It goes click/click/click...

yeah, the five speed I had in the first Pheadra was a little "rubbery", while the six speed was much faster and even the clutch seemed even lighter. both with your previous 2.2 mono-turbo engine. a good engine I had to say, quite silent (not at high revs), and it was able to push 7 passengers and some small luggages without complaining (too much).

Very nice, the dark grey looks fantastic! So this HDi170 has been around since 2006 yes? What I want to know is why my uncles new C-Crosser still uses the HDi156... Surely the 170 would be more beneficial?
