Jakg's Ride

2002 Proton Wira 1.5 LXi.

Passed my test about 3 weeks ago - got my car free my Mum. Most people laugh at it, but it has a unique charm, isn't that slow (i.e. it's faster than my mates 306), handles ok (i.e. the only issue is the almost American body-roll). Does drink Petrol, though.

No Egg-Nogg because, well, who the funk else would lie about owning such a car?

'tis a "unique" first car.

86 hp, 0-60 in a mind-boggling 12.2 seconds, official top speed is 107, but it was doing an indicated 110 today (102 in reality) with more to come :P

Better than my first car... I had awesome huge, thick rubber floor mats - they were used to cover the gaping holes in the floorboard on the drivers and passengers side front foot wells. T'was a b!tch in the winter, snow coming in... ugh. Enjoy it - looks pretty sweet to me.

Yea, really good first car.

If you have a few spare thousands, then do it up, and it'll be one sweet ride!

Nice car Jakg, not many people outside Malaysia and Singapore can say they own a Proton.

That's more because buying a second-rate Mitsubishi isn't much of a bragging tool rather than anything else.
