Zless....

Well, that was fast... it only took about 6 months to crash it.

An old lady switched lanes without looking while I was passing her and I had to throw my car to the right and as a result I lost control (floor was wet), did a 360, and half of the car went over the sidewalk... When you think how tall the sidewalk is compared to my stock Z is kind of scary that I managed to place the car on top of it. I was upset as hell, but that's life I guess, shit happens.

It was 6:30am on a Saturday, no witnesses and the old B**** left, I bet she didn't even noticed what she did to me, they're so careless. God Bless South Florida and its retirement communities.

The car is at the shop already, I'll know exactly what's wrong with it on Tuesday. I'll be driving my dad's 2006 4Runner (I'm lucky they have a third car) 'till I get my car back. Seems like a broken front axle, suspension damage, broken rim, and the body didn't suffer much but the passenger door is not opening...

Insurance is covering everything, but I'm pretty sure they're gonna make me pay the deductible even though imo it wasn't my fault... but then again that's just my statement.

I'm sorry to hear about that but from my understanding of driving in Florida you very much take your own life in your hands....

Hope it's not too expensive or time consuming.

Sucks man. I've had similar happen and it's really frustrating. Hope you get back on the road soon without taking too big a hit to insurance.

Ouch.. sounds like it may have been cheaper just to let her run into you. Ahh well, avoidance is the natural reaction, glad no one was injured. Hopefully there's not too much damage underneath, though a non-opening door isn't handy.

Sorry to hear that too Niko. Hopefully it will be relatively cheap to fix and trouble free.

Well, in a country where you can sue anybody for anything and pretty much every single person does, I'm not so sure that hitting another car would have been better. Definitely cheaper and less harmful for the car, but I didn't want to take any chances.

Avoidance is in fact the natural reaction like you said, everything happened in a fraction of a second, I just threw the wheel, and next thing I know I'm drifting onto the sidewalk

One of my teachers in high school lost her 21 year-old son because a 94 year old lady went through a stop sign and ran him over while the kid was driving a motorcycle. Florida is absolutely ridiculous...

i hate florida drivers, they suck, those old people. may have been easy to honk and just kinda tap her. since you have suspension damage are you going to consider replacing her after she's been fixed? now is the opportunity to put new rims in! and lower her for that matter! btw they're towing you're car all wrong....

At 6am on a Saturday I wasn't going to argue to get a tow truck with a bed, the first thing that showed up took my car and I was happy with it...

I might sell it, who knows. I guess it all depends on how it drives/feels when I get it back. I know the car will never be the same.

Very sorry to hear about this, Niko.
Hope she's good as new when you get her back.

If theres no real chassis damage take the opportunaty to get some rays/volk RE30's with fat offset and stretch some rubber over them

(while dropping the car naturally)

However if there IS significant damage, fix it and pass it on.

Sorry about your accident. Man, it pains me to hear your story. It really does. And the funny thing is that the State of Florida, in the name of the almighty dollar, will do absolutley nothing to end these sorts of disasters and they will do nothing to provide significant public transportation to assist the elderly.

That sucks man. Hopefully it'll just be a few suspension components that need to be replaced. The thing about the door not opening is interesting though. Did all the gaps look even?

I hit a granite curb with my Nissan, a pos sentra though , in the same fashion you did, it dented the wheel, bent the control arm, destroyed the wheel bearing, and knuckle. I ended up bending the control arm back, got a used knuckle that came with better bearings and an axle and got a new wheel.

definitely an advantage to having lived in northern florida, less old people.

sucks about the car, i have been in your shoes. the repairs are always slower than you want, and the insurance company is always out to screw you. but you'll get it back, it will be as good as new, and a pleasure to drive once again. at least nissan has a good parts program. when i wrecked the mini it took over a month to get a back ordered right front sub-frame assembly.
