Car Sightings competition thread??

I dont know if this will work but.....

I got this idea from Car Magazine

As i am a keen car spotter ( and i know a few people are on here) i was wondering whether there could be a thread where, at the beginning of each week, everyone is given 5-6 cars to try and photograph. Whoever gets them most of these spottings wins, and if no-one gets any, then the previous spottings are carried over or 5 new spottings are listed.

The cars should be spotted during the week of each competition, so no cheating lol.

P.S - I dont know what cars to list because i know Piacki sees many exotics and i only see Astons and Porsches, so could a Mod start the thread with a list of 5-6 spottings?? (The spottings should get SLIGHTLY harder each time)

Thanks a lot,
Rob Cooper

What about a Renault Megane? Anything more exclusive and I'd be useless...

I was thinking more of the 1.5 dCi 5-door hatchback with hubcaps...

Let me guess: you have at least one in your neighborhood??

I think it is a good idea, but for me it would be hard to see a Ferrari/Lamborghini or so, because in my little hometown aren't that many

But I would try to find them

Two things, many of us don't live in area's with lots of exotics, I have to drive at least an hour to get to somewhere that does, and also people from the different contenents would be seeing much different things

UCR tried this type of competition ages ago. Sadly if failed miserably becasue of the location of the members.

Also, would Car Showrooms count? There are many in my area, but I rarely see exotics drive by me in Seattle. The last exotic I saw driving around was a Ferrari 355 F1 Spyder (it was blue).

I'm up for it, but don't make it all exotics and sportscars. Make it a few old cars, some ordinary cars, maybe even just give some criteria and then we have to find a car that matches them. That'd be good.

Lamborghini Gallardo SE
Jaguar XK Coupe (2006)
Porsche Carrera 4S 997
Pontiac GTO 5.7
Scion XA

How about these cars, none too common, but should all be findable as they are all new.
