I was born there

And Technically Hong Kong was a British possession when I was born (1988) but is now part of a Special Economic zone, owned by China

I don't (and couldn't get) a British passport by birth. I am an Australian Citizen by Descender ship (both parents are Australian).

So, I'm really a European-Descended Australian, I guess. Just been around is all

Both are only shit stirring

It's quite an attractive flag, and I was compelled to choose one. No Eureka flag to fly, so what the hell? I suppose it's equally as Aussie as any of the others

But fwiw my great great great grandfather was born (of free settlers I might add) in this joint 207 years ago. Just the same as I popped out on aussie soil, which I reckon all up makes me every bit as native to Oz - or by literal definition as aboriginal - as the next bastard

That's a cool place. I have family there. One of the few British occupied places that were run correctly.
