Joining - confirmation mail

A quick question: How long should it take for the confirmation e-mail to reach you when you're joining ucp? Cause I've talked my friend into joining yesterday, and he says he still didn't get the e-mail.
Of course, he might have just mixed up something, but he says he did everything ok. That's why I'm asking.

It should be there right away. Maybe it's in his junk mail.
