Dear Ultimatecarpage.com visitor,

Although mentioned only briefly in our Geneva Motorshow report, we were quite taken by the two sports cars displayed by former Pininfarina head of design Ken Okuyama. Dubbed the k.o 7 Spider and k.o 8 Coupe, the two cars feature the same chassis, although they look quite different. Production is set to commence later in the year and the exquisite machines are expected to retail for a staggering $250.000. Okuyama's minimalistic cars probably come closest to the current Lotus line-up. This was expanded at Geneva with the 225 bhp, range topping Europa SE. Further road car debuts include the limited production Jaguar XKR-S, Bugatti Veyron 16-4 Fbg and the Zagato styled Bentley Continental GTZ. Destined for mass production is the Volkswagen Scirocco, which made its return to Geneva 34 years after the original Scirocco was introduced.
As always there was plenty of display space reserved on the Palexpo show floor for concept cars. This Saab 9-X BioPower Hybrid was chosen as the best concept car of the show. Renault also unveiled a very interesting concept; the Megane Coupe, which might be pitched against the Scirocco in the future. Another former Pininfarina stylist, Leonardo Fioravanti, is a regular fixture at Geneva and this year he showed the Hidra. Like many of his previous show cars, the Hidra again features cutting edge, Fioravanti patented technology.
