The original....

they were notorious for rust....

The power and the weight makes it inheritly more interesting than a lot of cars I am sure at the time....but it was also cheap(to buy and to make)....I doubt the new one will be any of those things....

Not surprised about the rust- Toyotas today still have rust issues. They're investigating the Tundras now.

I am still quite impressed with my 98 Camry actually(thats right...), there are several spot with dents and bare metal showing and the rust has been rather limited locally....where as my father's 03 G35 starting to rust in spots where there are no paint chip(paint is showing bubbles)....

My dad had said that Japanese paint quality had decreased over time. I'm not sure why your G35 is so crappy on the paint though.

Early Japanese metal wasn't the greatest part about the car. They'll run forever if they don't turn into a pile of dust first.
