The first Evos are underrated compared to the newer models, but the III can beat the heavier Evo IV and can compete with the latest models. The old III is a cracking car. Proton uses the bodyshells of the first Evos for their Wiras (formerly Personas) now, which are aimed at mostly sensible people who are unlikely to know that their car uses the same bodyshell as a swift Evo. Despite the fact that Proton uses the bodyshell, the Evo III is one of the best performance saloon cars ever built. |
