As a life long fan of the 452 V-16 Cadillac, it is my considered opinion that this particular car, one of the first efforts by a newly independant Pinninfarina set up, is the number one Cadillac V-16 by far. I have seen pics of this car in black and red which is also superlative. It belonged once to a family friends father Sheikh Mukhtar, a film actor in Bombay. In my opinion this car left India and reached USA via Dubai around 1972-3 when sold by Sheikh Mukhtar. A member of the VCCCA in the 1950's , Sh. Mukhtar knew his cars more than anyone else in India at that time. He saw the boat tail sticking out from a derelict workshop and rest is history. He often took the car to the film studios and had many top filmstars photographed with it.It looks better in these pics than it ever did and my congratulations to the present owners/keepers. How did it perform at the Concourse? |
