| Stunning |

In spite of all its detractors I have always found the Mangusta to be one of the most beautiful cars on the planet...another Giugiaro masterpiece. If I had one I wouldn't care if it went fast, I'd be happy just being seen in it! |

The Vallalunga is known primarily for its rigid, lightweight chassis, and for having abundant power. I think the mistake is to see De Tomaso's first effort as being intended as a rival to Ferrari; it was clearly more of a competitor for Lotus, Alpine and Abarth. The Mangusta on the other hand was seen as a bit of a mongrel, and the chassis that served so well in the Vallelunga proved to be less adept once up-sized to serve the larger car and motor. Still, the balance it lacked in corners it made up for in spades in aeshetics. I think it's one of the best looking cars ever. |

This car was driven by Bill in Kill Bill 2. If you read the description for this car it already states Mangusta means Mongoose which kills Cobras, hence the symbolism used in the movie (the leader of the deadly viper assassination squadron driving a mangusta). |
