Chassis S850662 Originally completed as a 'standard' Roadster in 1963, chassis S850662 was the first of only two Lightweight E-Types raced with a fixed head body. Ahead of the 1964 season, was modified by the Jaguar factory for its first owner, German Jaguar importer Peter Lindner, according to a 'low drag' design by Malcolm Sayer. Chassis S850663 Like chassis S850662, this fixed-head E-Type originally left the factory as a Roadster. Following a crash, it was returned to the factory where it was repaired with a distinct 'Low Drag' body using input from Dr. Samir Klat from the Imperial College. The car was raced extensively by Peter Lumsden and Peter Sargent with some success. It has survived in very original condition despite being extensively used in historic events for many years.
