Page 1 of 1 A decade after the release of the production version of the original Viper, Dodge revealed the Viper GTS/R Concept at the 2000 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. While the type name is a reference to the highly successful racing version of the existing Viper model, the styling was a preview of the second generation Viper. The headlights, in particular, found their way on the new Viper launched in 2003. Other elements of the design penned by Osamu Shikado, like the rear wing, were clearly there for show purposes.
