Chassis:
This is the second 183T built and the first all-new car as the first chassis was based on the 182T that had briefly appeared late in 1982. Liveried in Marlboro colours, 183T/2 was campaigned throughout the 1983 season and benefited from the mid-season updates. For reasons unknown, it has since been refinished in the Benetton colours used by the Alfa Romeo team from 1984 onwards. Now owned by a noted Italian Alfa Romeo collector, it was pressed back into service for the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2012 and 2013.
