Chassis:
This Abarth Simca 2000 GT was extensively raced in Italy for several season. It was predominantly used in hill climbs but also competed in the 1967 Targa Florio. During the late 1980s, it was brought from Italy by Fritz Overlander, who had it restored for historic racing. In 2000, it was sold at auction and soon after was acquired by British collector John Ruston, who continued to campaign the car in historic events. Some six years later the current custodian bought the car from Ruston and has been raced with considerable success since.
