One of a pair of 924 Carrera GTRs sold to Japan, this car was delivered new to Porsche importer Garage Italya. In 1983, it was finally acquired by its first private owner, a wealthy Japanese businessman. He ran the car at track days several times but ultimately covered only 109 kilometres before placing it in storage in 1990. Serviced but not driven since, it finally re-emerged for the Silverstone Classic sale of Silverstone Auctions where this virtually brand new Carrera GTR found a new owner for just under GBP 500,000.
