One of the more common bodies fitted on the 8A chassis was the featured Coupe de Ville designed by Cesare Sala. As with the horse drawn carriages of old, driver protection was limited with the Coupe de Ville style, which was a big contrast with luxuriously upholstered passenger compartment. This example is seen at the 2005 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
