The engine cover is glass (or perspex) and allows the enthusiast to oggle at the engine. It's main purpose is to save the emarrasment of owners opening up the engine cover for a place to put their golf clubs . . . :) |
what is that? |

"Well first of all the name is Montezemolo not montezemelo. The car was intended as a wedding present from Luca Cordero di Montezemolo to the newly wed couple, although I can't remember if the husband was actually Giugiaro's son or someone else. I know it sounds ridiculous to give a Pininfarina designed car as a present to a Giugiaro family member, but it must have been something like that, because I remember when I read the news on the newspaper I thought ""this is ridiculous"". And still I can't see the point in giving such a car that has no roof, not even a foldable one ...wasn't a slightly modified 360 spyder much better and usable? Anyway I don't like that barchetta version very much. Finally the Diablo roadster by koenig was inspired by the original Diablo roadster prototype made by Lamborghini, so Koenig didn't invent anything, they just used the windscreen style the factory created in the first place for the prototype and then put aside for a standard full-size windscreen.""" |
Very nice.... |

This car is stunning but I dont think it would do so well if they decided to produce it, especially against the 360 Spyder......some people have this thing about being able to put the top up, just like those people who complained about the roof, or lack of, on the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina ....and those after market roofs look awful, why buy it if youre going to put a roof on it? |
The real Barchetta |

The wind shield of this car was expired in the Ferrari Offshore Racing Boat, made in 1992... they study a way to create a aerodynamic bubble that the driver dont get any pressure in the face. Incredible car. Guto Araki, Istituzione Midia President |
It reminds me... |

The 360 Barchetta is beautifull, no daut, but the way the windscreen is formed it reminds me of the Lamborghini Diablo cabriolet tuned by Knig, also a great car. |
