Several years ago my daughter gave me a T-shirt which had the following print on it:

Somehow it seems age does show, but I am in the other category, actually I am wondering why "other" starts with 50. I will be 56 before the end of this year.

I go even further back - Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Fats Domino, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc. I regularly get browbeaten :rolleyes:
But I love some Steve Miller, CCR, Tom Petty, or Eagles now and then :) and occasionally I'll even listen to new stuff like The Cherry Poppin Daddies and Royal Crown Revue or even 12 stones, Bush, Nickleback, 3 Doors Down, et. al.! :p

I'm more a product of my time, although i absolutely despise this new Crunk Rap. Crap more like. When some black dude can jump up and down talking loudly about Rockin' away or some crap, I switch off.
I like 80's music. The Cure, U2, New Order, The Smiths. Plus a smattering of newer artists. Ferry Cortsen, Chicks on Speed, Daft Punk, Tiesto, Air, My only exception to the Rap Rule, Outkast, Moloko and many others.
In reality i like songs rather than artists.

You think you guys got it bad, I get teased for liking the White Stripes! Many people got pissed off when I played Hendrix on our school computer instead of the shit hip hop rap thats loaded on to it.

Spastik--go do yourself a favour and buy the 'Chicago Transit Authority' album by Chicago. Guitarist Terry Kath could really put Jimi Hendrix in his place...Hendrix himself declared Kath was better than him...:D Not that i'm dissing Hendrix, though ;)
