Can anyone give me a pic that shows the three DB3S versions next to each other? It's hard to find one on the net. Maybe you guys are better at scouring the world wibe web.

Awesome machines, they should also lose the silly stickers on the side and F1-overalls, go period!

ASk your mom to show you pictures of the clothes she wore in the 80s :)
ME ? Black silk short, white silk kipper tie and hair down to to my shoulders - LOTS of hair :( AND NO, I'm not posting THOSE pics on UCP :)

Taste is affected by the times !!!
In it's day these were beautiful along with the D-types :)
They are still lovely machines for me.

ok, before anyone wants to assault the looks of the car: this is not a car, it is art! These cars originate from an era in which car designers didn't have to take stupid regulations imposed by politicians into account. The form is very pure and such curvaceousness cannot be found anymore in car design nowadays. This car stands to this day forward as a design icon. Which car today has those awesome cut-away wheelarches? And no contemporary car could sport a fin and look cool, like a D-type for instance.

Henk4, the first is, may be an Aston Martin DB3S 64EMU driven by Lukas Huni. the second one is an earlier DB3S version, with the distinctive Aston grille. The third one is a DBR1, the one like Shelby and Moss (?) raced at Le Mans in '59. The fourth car looks a DBR2 to me (only three built), but I am not quite sure as my intuition tells there is something wrong with the wheels, which should be covered a little by the wheelarches. The rims are too small. Moreover, the rivets in the perspex headlamp covers are not original and the reg number doesn't sound familiar to me.

that is really a DB5 that was converted to look like a DBR2
