ok, my dad just got back from california last night on business. while he was out west, he found this place called vip classics. it has 3 other showrooms, and is VERY nice. www.vipclassics.com ok, bad news, the gt40s ARE FAKE!!!!!!!!! not too mention the countless other incredible cars there. not exactly useful unless you wanna buy or want some pics, but still, knowing there is a place like this.....

I was intrigued at any company having access to that many original GT40s.

THEY ARE ALL FAKES :)

Every one on their website is a copy.
Cleverly one of the US copiers is a company who call their kits 1966 GT40s . So you THINK it['s a 1966 year origianl and it's not. Bad !!!

However, some GT40 kits are awesome. Check out the one in the Knockhill pics. Hard to tell from the real ones ( they're usually a couple of inches takker )

Cdoc, we were only pointing out the nefarious actions of that company in conning folsk into thinking those were reAL GT40s.

As I said kits are still nice but they are NOT the real thing.

Their blurb conned you into thinking they were original models.
BAD on them.

Hint: You may want to go back and put a minor edit in your original post. Saves anyoen else reading it telling you the same thing :)

good idea. i understand, but i wouldnt mind having even a fake. then again, id rather have the viper, its more likely to be real (either way, not like im gonna buy one of those gt40 copies)

probably. considering they have HUGE racing history, are incredibly rare, and are "THE FORD GT" (dam name brand selling.......at least they earned it with that exact car)

Yeah, I too found this website a while back, and I must say that there Porsche Speedster replicas are pretty awesome. Especially for $20,000.
