Hello,

It says share your photos so here they are. I hope to get 5,000+ in the near future.

Well considering that I started the site this week and have about 200 photos up now but 10,000 total on DVDs I don't think it is too much a long shot. Just a matter of finding the time.

Good luck on getting the site up and running, you'll soon be a good one if you keep those updates coming, and get rid of the whole album thing (I hate those!!!)

nice photos BTW.

Thanks for the encouragement. Just a quick question to get some feedback. What do you hate about the photo album?

I don't know why (Possibly because of my slow computer) but i always prefer a list based system to a photo album system, i find it much easier to navigate as well. even though with the albums you see whats inside, the list based system means i only see what i want to see.

Thanks for the feedback. This is a great idea and I'll remember this when I build the rest.

I don't have an official photographer. All photos are submitted by users.

How do you cope with copyright issues? How do you make sure that your submitters are the owners of the images?

They've been doing this for years with photos, art and more. I'm not legally responsible, I didn't commit the crime, I'm not passing off someone elses work off as mine. It is not different when people post pictures on web forums such as these. Worst thing that will happen is I'll get an email asking me to remove the photo. The photos in the gallery are from a friend of mine in Belgium, but will be open to others. The Photo of the Day is also open to everyone.

You are the publisher, you are responsible for what you publish, regardless how you got hold of it. However, as long as you don't make money from it you should be ok.

I noticed you got your images from Dirk, that's why I asked the question in the first place.

At the moment only pics that get selected as winners will be viewable. Leave feedback on the forum and I may in the future allow all user pics to be seen but fear porn being uploaded etc and tons of bandwidth. At about 9AM United States EST time I'll make it a winner and you'll see it on the homepage.
