Based on the 147 GTA the Autodelta is powered by a bored-out version of the existing 3.2 V6 unit, with engine capacity now up to 3750cc, it delivers 245 kW at 7300 rpm and 353 Nm @ 4700rpm. It is capable of reaching 100 kmh in just 5.0 seconds and has a top speed of 280 kmh. What do you think?

Yes no big plastic covers over that engine. As much as i hate to say it but its FWD, as Autodelta have used the same engine from the normal 147 GTA. However thay have added a new limited slip diff to get that 328bhp to the tarmac with 0 torque steer. 2005 we should see a 4wd version. :P

Well, it's definately the most beatiful hatchback, but so much power on the front wheels is very hard to handle...:(

Let's hope it equals or surpasses the victories of its namesake.
The GTA name is a hard act to follow.

Welcome T33.

Yes it is after its dominance in late 60's and early 70's. Although i am disappointed on alfas efforts with the 156 GTA, they should have lightened it and driven it by the rears with more tuning on the v6 or maybe a v8?

too much power + FWD = torque steer.

at this car's setup and weight, i think that torque steer is inevitable.
its definitely a hell of car. looks great inside and out. performance aint shabby either !!

Does anybody know if the Alfa 147 will be changing its shape in 2005. Will it go for the aggressive look at that the 156 has opted for? If so can someone post some pics.

Thanks

The Bottom Line:

The Alfa Romeo 147 GTA was incrediblt fast, but already needed an LSD. This one is faster, still a great car, but it needs an LSD more than ever.

A couple more cylinders would help. You cant be serious!
