This is a request i have. I love the Saleen S7, but i hate the rear end. I want to see what you guys can come up with and fix the rear. Preferably shorter, more slick, something that will actually flow with the main top curve line ;)

Thanks in advance and good luck :)

nice job illu!

Karrmann

made it even better by getting rid of that ridge and that reflecter.

But wait! The engines only a V6 now! :D

Karrmann

after the work I did, i might have just enough room to squeeze in a turbocharger....

WAIT! A V6?!?!?!?! is this my moms infiniti sedan, or a modern muscle car made to compete with the best italy can provide?!

thats the way it should have looked in the first place... awesome work

oh, and btw, the XJ220 was only a V6

yes but would have kick ass if jag had the fund (?) to put in the 12

cmcpokey

very true, but the turbo v6 allowed it to be the fastest production car in the world for quite a while

CdocZ

thats not the point. the saleen is supposed to have a real muscle car engine. aka, the 7 liter v8 the real thing has. i know there are loads of awesome v6's, but its more what it was meant to have when created.

right, i know what you mean. but this is where we come across that fundemental difference that we have discussed before. i have no problem with smaller engines with high power and low displacement, and you are a big american V8 fan. either way, i still think it looks better edited.

i do too, and im not that great of an american v8 fan, its just that i like the saleen better with that engine. it makes it seem more like a "new generation" muscle car

just because the number of cylinders isnt high doesnt mean the car is lame or not a good as one with a bigger engine. smaller engines are lighter, the Porsche 911 GT1 has a flat 6

Here is My one, basically the same as illu's. Smaller rear end, modified wing, original, modified background......One door up, and what karrmann did with the removed reflector and that small ridge. I also ajusted the shadow legnth underneath the car.

you really dont understand what i mean. have you even read what ive been posting? the soul of the car is that muscle car engine it has. it was taken away. that thing was meant to be a modern version of high-end muscle car pretty much.

RIGHT!

ive had huge amounts of fun with this chop. its IMO cool looking.

i know about the mountians in the background being off line. i cant be farked about changing them.

EDIT: for those concerned - its now a front engined rear wheel drive.

The shape of the rear half reminds me of the Morgan Aero 8, infact the whole car does.
