Heres another attempt at reviving the Chop Game

For those unfimiliar with the game, I will post a pic and whoever wants to chop it says "i will chop it" or whatever, and you can only do like 2 mods. Then the next person goes etc...

Okay lets get it started

The biggest change in this isn't the front although it looks it. The quality of the paint before was crap! So i brushed over all the paint to restore it to smoothness. I also remover the fuel cap which still wasnt removed.

Karmann, you're getting better. Try practicing with the lasso tool and the clone tool. You could make the grill line up a lot better with those tools.

seeing as karrmann's chop got a bit lost in the middle of that i helped him out by removing the side mouldings (Karrmann, Hint: When doing things like removing the side mouldings, use the polygon lassoo tool to select the area around the mouldings, then you can use the smudge tool to cover over the mouldings, and wallah, perfect, just like a bought one!!!, i hope this helps)

EDIT: pleast dont remove the badge and the plate, it just looks wrong. It's just too open with one MASSIVE hole in the middle.

Karrmann, Just sonthing to help you...........do you know where the POLYGON lassoo is? Hold down on the normal lassoo button, then 2 more lassoo tools well come up, the magnetic lassoo, and the polygon lassoo. Use the polygon lassoo on problems like what you had around the wheels will dissappear.

karrmann dont lower the quality just lower the file size make it 1024x768 rather than taht size, then you should get it at high quality and will fit on UCP

yeah, they do look quite odd. They're just deep-dished and rotated though, i think.... :confused:

Yeah, but they're upside down. You can tell this from the lighting. They're in shadow at the bottom and lit up at the top. As if the source of light is coming from the tarmac.

Shaved the handles, and coloured the skirting 4 ya Mustang, just used the curves option, as easy as that.

ok here it is.. i tried making the rear wheel's dish deeper but it didnt work, and i even realized that the front wheel was used to make the rear so thats why it came out like that.. so i didnt change the wheels.. i did match the side skirt to the cars color (not greenish anymore), i got rid of the license plate and i added some xeon lights..

any1 feel free to give the wheels an attempt.. (no offense to whoever did the wheels but the rear does look strange.

here is my attempt at it.. i flattened the image and modded the rear window then reflattened then realized that the front was too low.. so if you guys want to use the pic do, if not then try your luck.

Karrman maybe you should practice more and get better before you chop something for the chop game. What you are doing to the cars are making it harder for other people to chop them. Also, take your time and dont use the same wheel for the front and the back. The most important thing is how you manage your time. You should never rush your chop. It could take 20 minutes or 2 days. Just take the time you need to make the best effort possible. You should never feel that you are under some kind of time restriction. Your chops are very edgy and it looks like you just rushed through them. Dont take this in offence, we are only trying to help you get better. Thats all i have to say.:)

Since you dont understand what we are telling you to fix, I have shown you some errors that you should fix in the future. The circled part is where you made the paint all swirly and there seems to be a large smudge through the whole section between the wheel and the light. There is also a very noticeable gap between the wheel and tire. You cannot use the same wheel twice on the front and back because it make the back wheel look flat. OK?

Karrmann, the point of adding new rims is for them to fit over the old rim.. You shouldn't be able to see the old rim when putting on a new one. Use ctrl+t and its different size change settings to resize them correctly. In your case, all it needed was a 3 degree rotation and a size increase of 5%.

karmann when you look at a real life car that has mesh do you ever see the mesh stuck on the outside of the intake or closer to the inside? the mesh you made looks unrealistic bcuz of that... you must also be sure to put adequate shadowing and such..
another thing.. mesh has holes so i dont get how you cant see past it! try lowering the opacity a little bit too.

I understand your questioning. The reason i dont chop anything is because i dont have photoshop. I just use MS paint to do the door handles :p. And dont give me links or anything because ive heard it all before. I dont want photoshop. I dont want to download it. I dont want to steal it. If i really wanted it I would go out and pay the 600$ or whatever. I enjoy everyones chops and i like encouraging others. So i hope i havent dissapointed you or anything :)

Lol, it def. looks fooked but if you lowered the opacity on the cf and made the weave 15% smaller, it'd look real.
