Can't say that it's really an improvement but it is distinct.
The grill openings now look more Bugatti than BMW.

I can honestly say that is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen in my life. Honestly. And dont say its for cooling .. they didnt have to do that to give it better cooling .. a vent below the grilles would have been better looking and more inline with the radiators.

Bastards. Hartge used to make some cool-looking BMWs but not anymore. How the hell do they have the guts to do something like that to a beautiful car. It's a disgrace. BMW 6-Series is a very nice car...now, with that stupid front, looks so f***ed up!!!! Totally messed. :mad:

there is too much stuff going on in that nose. the wheels are ridiculous. The only part i dislike from the normal M6 is the back... and they left it almost intact... what a crappy mess. :(

Hamman definitely makes the best looking 6-Series.
Still not my style though. I'd rather rip along a winding cliffside ocean road than cruise through the city looking down at all the peasants :)

All BMW-tuning companies have a contract with BMW. They need a licence for every BMW-costumizing.
So BMW knew very well what Hartge was doing.

Even so - what does that have to do with the BMW design team?
They didn't design it, and I doubt they are the ones responsible for this contract thing.
Its like suggesting that the man who designed the Mercedes C-Klasse should be sacked because the Mercedes F1 engine kept exploding last year.

lol. the original comment was stupid. why should they have been sacked. Maybe BMW did know what they were going to do with the car, it has nothing to do with the design team.

In the english language, "sack THE design team" means who ever designed this car should be sack. If the design team are internal BMW employees, contractors, external companies or "Joe next door", then you do not engage their services any more. Understand? Reading your comments suggests that BMW knew nothing about how this car was going to look like. E.g. It is not BMWs fault that this car looks like a dogs breakfast to most people. If you were BMW and you got some other company to design the car, don't tell me that you would not have an interest in the final product.

The Standard 6 Series isn't exactly the most attractive car ever, infact, I think it is ugly, but making it ugly furthermore is a very big step in the wrong direction. :D
